                                             Wind and Wave

Wind and Wave was inspired by many trips to Tettegouche State Park in northern Minnesota on the north shore of Lake Superior.

This print is taken from drawings made at the far end of Shovel Point where, if the wind is just right, the waves crash in from the northesast onto the wall of rock at Shovel Point.

Over the centuries the waves have hollowed out a large bowl which makes for spectacular splashes and a low 'whump' sound when the waves hit if the wind is strong.
